Bodegas Caro is set in the historic winery of Bodega Escorihuela, founded in 1885. The old winery has been lovingly restored into a beautiful cocoon of history, culture and wine - the completion of which, in March 2017, prompted it to win the Great Wine Capitals Best Of Wine Tourism award for Architecture.
A visit to Bodegas Caro reveals the way in which the architecture and wines both tell a story of tradition and history, and also one of innovation and the future.
Meet the German wine elite for a special tasting of their 2017 wines. For the first time, the VDP.wineries present such a brought range of new wines. All VDP.classification catagories can be found except for the wines from VDP.GROSSER LAGE®. They will have their debut on 1 September.
Compared with large, international trade fairs the VDP.Weinbörse is “klein aber fein”! Would mean “good things come in small packages.” It is relatively easy for visitors to quickly locate the estate and/or region of interest, without a long trek from hall to hall.
The Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates, abbreviated VDP), is an elite group of some 200 quality-oriented German vintners who are committed to terroir-driven viticulture at the highest level.
