The meeting includes a plenary session as well as communication, tourism and business and research workshops. A tourism program will allow the delegates to choose between wineries featuring boutique properties, sparkling wine, organic wineries and family-owned estates in the Casablanca Valley.
Three events open to non-delegates. On November 6, the hosts have organized a symposium that examines the measures taken by Chile to foster environmental sustainability in the wine business. Featured speakers include Chilean wine industry stars Agustín Huneeus and Eduardo Guilisasti, winemaker Sergio Correa and professor of ecosystem ecology Olga Barbosa.
An international wine tasting on November 8 will feature wines from the nine Great Wine Capitals wine regions.
The annual meeting will close on November 9 with a gala dinner and the 2018 international ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards ceremony, honoring outstanding regional winners from the network for their excellence and innovation in Accommodation, Wine Tourism Restaurants, Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices, Architecture & Landscapes, Art & Culture, Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences and Wine Tourism Services.
Information about the annual meeting is available here! Those interested can register for the symposium, or acquire a ticket for the International Wine Tasting (as long as room is available).
