Carmo’s is a romantic, cosy and exclusive boutique hotel with 15 luxurious rooms planted in a rural setting.
Located in the oldest town in Portugal right in the heart of the region of Porto and the north of Portugal, it is surrounded by verdant nature, where the vine, symbol of a people which has risen above a life of simple farming, took root. Its modern design was inspired by the architect Carvalho Araújo, whose use of concrete interacts lovingly with the Portuguese rosewood carpentry, old church pieces and Lalique crystal.
The cuisine is traditional Portuguese with authentic fresh fish and meat, in perfect harmony with Portuguese wines.
In a context of organised chaos, the restaurant, library, wine cellar and reception area combine to present a hotel in which every detail has been carefully designed. A good book and a bottle of Portuguese wine are a temptation for the senses.
