La Motte Wine Estate

La Motte Estate is situated in one of the most scenic areas of the Cape Winelands – the Franschhoek Valley. Amongst its special attributes are a wine tasting room, a restaurant, a museum, hiking trail and farm shop - all contributing to an entertaining and educational Winelands experience. Being farmed in a sustainable and organic way, further add to the appeal and guests are invited to learn more on guided walks.  Environmental management remains a priority at La Motte. A formal environmental policy is in place.

Domaine de Cantemerle

 

Cette propriété familiale située à Saint-Gervais en Gironde, près de la Dordogne dans l’appellation Bordeaux Supérieur, est désormais célèbre pour son approche respectueuse de l’environnement au niveau de la production du vin. Labellisée Agriculture Raisonnée depuis 2005, la famille Mabille se distingue dans le suivi de la production, l’utilisation minimale de traitements sur les vignes, le recyclage et le renouvellement d’énergie : tout ceci est largement expliqué aux visiteurs pour une meilleure compréhension de l'impact positif sur les vins.

This family-run estate in St Gervais (Gironde), close to the Dordogne river in the Bordeaux Superieur appellation, has become renowned for its meticulous approach to environmentally-conscious wine-making. Certified in Sustainable Agriculture since 2005, the family has shown exemplary leadership in fully traceable bottling, combined with minimal use of vineyard treatments, on-site recycling and energy conversion – all explained to visitors in the context of the benefit it brings to their wines.

Chateau Grand Corbin-Despagne

 

Le château Grand Corbin-Despagne travaille la vigne depuis 1996 en respectant les principes de l'Agriculture Raisonnée et de la Charte Terra Vitis. Aujourd’hui, c’est la totalité du vignoble qui a été convertie aux principes de l’Agriculture biologique, pour le 198ème millésime de la famille Despagne à Saint-Emilion. Les visites, réalisées dans les vignobles et les chais par des diplômés en œnologie, sont imprégnées de cette philosophie et visent à mettre en valeur les différentes étapes de l’évolution de la vigne et de l’élaboration du vin dans un environnement naturel.

Chateau Grand Corbin-Despagne

Château Grand Corbin-Despagne has worked the vine since 1996 in accordance with the principles of Sustainable Farming and the Terra Vitis Charter. Today the whole vineyard, in the Despagne family for 198 years, has been converted to organic farming. The tours of the vineyards and cellars led by qualified wine experts are imbued with this philosophy and aim to highlight the different stages of the evolution of the wine in a natural environment.

Cloof Wines

The farm, set on 3 500 hectares, proudly boasts a diverse range of farming activities including vineyard, cellar, cattle, wheat and game conservation, with one of the largest fynbos, renosterveld reserves under private ownership. Late in 2006 Cloof were named a champion under the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative, in recognition of steps take to conserve pristine natural vegetation, rehabilitate previously cultivated areas and the reintroduction of buck species previously endemic to the region.

Waverley Hills Organic Wines

Waverley Hills offers a unique and organic experience where one can learn more about organic farming and the natural fauna and flora that surrounds the Estate. It is the first organic wine producer to achieve the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative Champion status. The fynbos nursery brings the Cape Floral Kingdom to your doorstep; explore these beautiful plants on hiking or biking trails and enjoy organic wine and olive products in the tasting room.

Bodegas Murillo Viteri

Their philosophy: Bodegas Murillo Viteri define themselves as a small family wine cellar located in the city of Cenicero, in the heart of La Rioja, dedicated to the production or elaboration of wine from 5 generations ago. All their processes are environmentally friendly, and the concept of social responsibility in terms of sustainability, recycling, ecology, transparency and accessibility are present in all their performance. “A small Wine Cellar, a big responsibility”

Campo Viejo is a pioneer winery designed to be respectful with the environment : integration in its natural environment, minimum energy and water consumption, water treatment and recycling for irrigation, minimum emissions in the atmosphere, selective separation of waste. It is the first Spanish winery to obtain AENOR certification for its carbon footprint in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard, thus giving clients and consumers confidence in the global process
