In the old part of Nieder-Saulheim the restaurant is located in a protected homestead harmonically matching the historical structure of the village. Beatrix und Markus Hebestreit provide seats for 45 guests on to levels as well as an idyllic inner courtyard for 50 people.

The focus on wine is guaranteed by the 80 sparkling wine and wine positions, a third of which is changed every three months to offer maximum variety. The gastronomical offer is completed by German cuisine with French elements. The friendly service including great wine knowledge combined with upper class cuisine was the reason for the jury’s nomination.

Hentley Farm Wines

~The Hentley Farm Restaurant opened in May 2012 with Head Chef Lachlan Colwill at the helm.
Lachlan grew up in the Barossa and is very passionate about the region and it's produce.
The cellar door had been operational since 2008 and the owners knew a second to none food and wine experience
was needed in the region. The restaurant was opened as a way to showcase the properties wines with the highest
quality produce, creating an experience in a region that lacked a 'fine dining/degusation' offering.
Since then, the restaurant has seen continued success and underwent an extension in 2015 as demand increased
significantly.

Los Toneles - Abrasado

ABRASADO

Abrasado is an elegant restaurant located in Los Toneles. This winery stands in a unique setting: its architectonic style honors the original foundation, in 1922. The building was declared Mendoza‘s cultural heritage site in 2008. The sophisticated winery is located at remarkable short distance from downtown.

 

Vis-à-Vis

With the award in the category Wine Tourism Restaurants, the jury honored the restaurant Vis-à-Vis in Osthofen for its successful combination of fine regionally inspired cuisine, a comprehensive wine list dominated by wines from Rheinhessen and the tasteful conversion of the cow chapel of a former wine trading house with a homestead. Alongside wines from their own wine estate Spieß, the wine list also features products of other award-wining wineries as well as a selection from winemakers that are friends of the hosts.

First Crush Restaurant & Wine Bar

The charming wine bar is located right in Union Square, amid the hustle and bustle of San Francisco's central shopping district, steps away from the Financial District and SOMA.   Their list is 100% California, featuring well-known wine stars and boutique, hard-to-find producers alike. Château d'Agassac

Situated inside the magical setting of Château d’Agassac, the restaurant La Table d’Agassac opened its doors in June 2015. In a chic and relaxed atmosphere, guests enjoy a  bistronomic cuisine served in the The Renaissance style reception rooms of the Château or on the beautiful terrace overlooking the moat. This “wine restaurant” is runned by Giovanni Curcio, a famous international sommelier who aims to build a strong gastronomic identity around wine. The concept? A “surprise”menus that changes daily with the season and expertly prepared wine & food pairings.
