The newly converted Barrel Cellar at Rust en Vrede Wine Estate now houses the Rust en Vrede Restaurant. The fine dining establishment is run by creative chef David Higgs and assisted by Niel Grant the sommelier. The restaurant was opened in November 2007 and was voted into the Eat Out top 10 restaurants in South Africa 2009. Offering 4 or6 course meals with the option of a wine pairing, the open style kitchen lends itself to the warm atmosphere found within.

The Remenetxe restaurant in is well regarded for its international wine list and its relaxed and straight-forward approach to teaching wine culture to its customers. Housed in a traditional 19th century farmhouse, converted in 1986 but retaining its rustic stone walls and wooden beams, there are over 600 wines on the list from
“Boroa Jatetxea” was created by Asun Ibarrondo and Javier Gartzia as Head Chef. In 1997, they restaured a15th century farmhouse and converted it into a restaurant with scrupulous respect for its original architecture. The outside terrace is surrounded by century-old oak trees and a large parking area has been added. Jatetxea is a reference for gastronomic excellence where nature and tradition live in perfect harmony. The cellar offers a wine list blending perfectly with the gastronomic offer. Melton Estate is a boutique winery featuring a modern restaurant and event venue set on 12 acres in West Melton, Christchurch, and only 10 minutes from the airport. It is proudly owned and managed by the whole Scott family.Their vineyard restaurant ‘Twelve Trees’ has become one of the regions most popular lunchtime venues.
