Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2008
At the Annual General Meeting of Great Wine Capitals in November 2007 in Porto, Portugal, an international jury selected a global winner for each of the Network cities from the 47 national winners.
In total, 320 wineries and wine tourism businesses from the Network cities and their wine regions entered the 2008 Best Of awards program, a record number, indicating the growing popularity and international recognition of the Best Of wine tourism awards.
Each global winner was able to demonstrate to the international selection panel its outstanding ability to provide a high quality service and exceptional wine tourism experience to its visitors.
A special prize was awarded this year to the Host City of the AGM.
