A helping hand on the wine routes of Mendoza

When you first arrive in a new city, it is sometimes a bit harder than you expect to find your way around. Google maps can only take you so far, but to seek out the real gems of each location - you need an inside guide.

Mendoza is no different. It actually surprises a lot of tourists when they arrive here that there are no wineries in the city. You’ll need to drive, or get driven, at least twenty minutes out of the city centre, and some of the best wineries are up to two hours away. This is where the great wine tourism offerings in Mendoza come in hand.

Huentata was the winner of Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences in the Great Wine Capitals awards last year, and they offer tourism experiences that take you beyond the usual wine tasting.

You can get a full immersion into the Uco Valley with their four day experience that includes visiting some of the top wineries of the region as well as getting to grips with Argentine cuisine in a cooking class, playing the local ‘bochas’ game, and getting in depth wine tasting experiences and classes.

Their ‘There’s no wine without sin’ experience is a full blown extravaganza of wine tasting, learning how to make your own blend, tucking into top gourmet experiences, and finishing off with a relaxing hammam and spa. Rather than sinful, it sounds like a heavenly way to experience the best of Mendoza!

Of course Mendoza isn’t just wine and food, there are landscapes to discover by horseback, by foot and even by 4x4!

Mendoza is filled with beautiful and interesting wine and tourism experiences, and Huentata offers you a helping hand to guide you through the best.
