The latest edition of the Best of Great Wine Capitals Awards highlights some of Mendoza’s most exciting wine and tourism attractions. Make sure to add these places to your bucket list for a visit in 2019.

Les Celliers de Sion, Swiss global Best of Wine Tourism winner 2019!

At a ceremony that took place in Adélaïde (Australia) November the 8th, the Celliers de Sion, has been designated Swiss winner of the global Best Of Wine Tourism 2019 competition.

Porto and the Douro wine region have achieve more international recognition. The House of Sandeman Hostel & Suites unanimously won one of the 10 awards given by the international competition Best of Wine Tourism, held this year in Adelaide, Australia.

The Rioja Wine Train involves both public and private initiatives in favor of wine tourism and the promotion of Rioja wine.

The train runs from Logroño to Haro in the morning and returns to Logroño in the afternoon.  On arrival in Haro, the passengers are bussed to several wineries where they enjoy tastings and lunch.

From the moment they board the train, passengers are entertained by a theater group where they not only enjoy a few laughs but learn about Rioja wine at the same time.

As one of ten recognized Great Wine Capitals, San Francisco | Napa Valley has awarded its hospitality leaders the 2019 Best Of Wine Tourism regional designations in six categories.

The Best Of awards categories include accommodations; architecture and landscape; innovative wine tourism experience; sustainable wine tourism practices; wine tourism restaurant; and wine tourism services.  

The 2019 Best Of regional San Francisco | Napa Valley winners are:

McLaren Vale's d'Arenberg has been awarded the coveted ‘International Best of Wine Tourism Award' for Architecture and Landscape, with the Cube recognised for its bespoke structure and design.

The winery GUT LEBEN am Morstein brings home the Best-of-Global Award! 8 November 2018 marked the ceremony of The Global Best of Wine Tourism Awards which took place in the context of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Great Wine Capitals network in the Botanical Gardens of Adelaide.

The international ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards were announced during a gala dinner at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens on November 8. The ceremony marked the end of the 2018 Annual General Meeting of the Great Wine Capitals in Adelaide, South Australia.

Last Tuesday, October 30, in Matetic Vineyard, Valparaíso Casablanca Valley celebrated the award ceremony of Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2019.
