The Macedon Ranges is one of Australia’s coolest
wine growing regions and some vineyard images show the vines
covered in a thick blanket of snow, uncommon but not unknown. Such a cool
climate brings its own rewards. Frosty mornings can give way to brilliant

The region is home to at least 20 wineries. Those of
particular interest for the wine tourist include: |
|
Situated with superb views of Hanging Rock and the
Macedon Ranges the winery offers free cellar door tastings, sales, and
on-site accommodation.
This winery is very much the hub around which many

much of this region’s wine, and has been so important in the region’s
development, that a visit to this cellar door is compulsory. And the wines
will delight.
