The Mornington Peninsula Vineyards

Long regarded as Melbourne's summer holiday playground, the Mornington Peninsula has evolved to become a year-round magnet for those in search of excellent food and wine. To cater for the growing interest from the public, many establishments have built new restaurants and cafes right next to the vines.

The wineries listed here from this region were winners of the Best Of Wine Tourism awards.

Redhill Estate

A converted cattle farm with one of the most magnificent views out to sea, Red Hill's first vines were planted in 1989.

Red Hill Estate is a 50 acre cool climate property located on one of the most elevated areas of the Mornington Peninsula. 24 acres are under vines, featuring mostly Pinot Noir (five clones) and Chardonnay.

The vineyard is a model of high technology which enhances the complex array of fruit flavours. Red Hill Estate draws fruit from other vineyards on the Peninsula, including The Briars historic property in Mt Martha (a source of high quality Cabernet Sauvignon).
