The Porto City Council, responsible for Porto's Historical Centre, classified by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage, has signed a cooperation agreement for the creation of the Portuguese World Cultural Heritage network, which gathers all the country's classified sites and monuments.

It has as goals to promote proximity among these sites and monuments, to discuss ideas on the areas of patrimony management and regeneration, to exchange knowledge and discuss matters of common interest, as well as to take part in joint projects and initiatives that generate value in these regions and disseminate the World Cultural Heritage in Portugal and around the world.
