The Rioja ‘n’ Rollers share several characteristics:  in spite of their young age, they’re highly trained, with experience gained in their families' vineyards as well as in wineries around the world; they’re in love with small plots overlooked by big wineries, they don’t think that they’ll ever get rich making and selling wine and want to do things differently with unusual blends.

Bordeaux is an historical wine region. Grapes have been grown and wine made here since Roman times, but rooted in the past does not mean stuck in it. There is a long history of innovation here; introducing new aging techniques to produce the ‘New French Claret’ in the 17th century, solving challenges such as mildew with the Bordeaux mixture in 1878 or the introduction of stainless steel tanks in the 1960’s. This spirit of innovation continues today.

In the beautiful seaside Cove of Quintay, the official launch of Casablanca Valley´s emblematic variety was celebrated.

When in 2001 we, Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, started our journey to make our own wine we had neither vineyards… nor wine. There’s no shortage of superstar chefs in the Bilbao area.  The Guide Michelin 2018 has awarded rosettes to ten area restaurants, and many others, a recommendation. With so many places to choose from it’s safe to say that no matter where you go, it’s hard not to eat well in Bilbao.
