Vineyard Domhof in Guntersblum

The vineyard Domhof in Guntersblum offers the opportunity to enjoy wine in all its glory, and there is plenty of space for all sorts of parties. After your wine tasting session, you may spend the night at the vineyard in the associated hotel “Schlafgut”. With 12 individually designed double bedrooms and one wheelchair-accessible room, it offers an ideal opportunity to relax and enjoy yourself. Names, such as “Himmelthal” and “Wolke 7” lend a unique atmosphere to the rooms.

Make the most of the weekend and the offers at Guntersblum: you could plan a bike or Nordic walking tour, learn more about the local history at the museum or visit the Kellerweg festivities. Guntersblum is located directly on the “Rhine bike route” and the Way of St. James (Jakobsweg) is not far from the village. It is also worth walking around the village, as there are two castles, the “Deutschherrenhaus” - a remnant from the Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta – and an Evangelical church with two romantic spires.

Wine hotel Kaisergarten in Alzey

Wherever you go in the wine hotel led by the family Biegler-Brand, you will notice evidence of expertise in regard to all things wine-related. In the lobby, there is a wine bar. In the spacious wine shop, you may taste some of the wines, as well as buy them. The rooms are named after wine classifications: you may, for example, spend the night in the late vintage or Auslese room.

The wine theme fits perfectly, considering the hotel’s location. In addition to a vineyard covering 778 hectares, Alzey is also home to a beautifully restored town center, where all sights may be reached by foot. You could visit Alzey castle, the ruins of a Roman fort or the Alzey museum at the old city hospital. In the city’s center, there is the Rossmarkt square with the Rossmark fountain.
