27th January, The International Port Wine Day, was created in 2012 by the Center for Wine Origins (Washington), an institution founded by IVDP and CIVC (Champagne). To celebrate this date the Real Companhia Velha has launched a new reference for this famous nectar, the ‘Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Ruby’ and refreshed the image of the ‘Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Tawny’.

For  6 year running, travellers have been invited to select the best European destination! From Amsterdam to Zagreb, the 20 tourist destinations which will feature most in 2015 have been selected, among which, Bordeaux (France).

Porto, a Great Wine Capital, was elected in 2014... You can now select Bordeaux, another Great Wine Capital, as the best European destination for 2015!

Wine Fandango, the latest addition to the growing group of gastrobars in Logroño, has just received the 2014 Award for Entrepreneurship sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of La Rioja. The award comes with a 3.000 euro cash prize.

UNESCO (United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization) recently added Bilbao to its Creative Cities Network in the ‘Design' category.

This international recognition allows Bilbao to join a select group of global cities recognized for design along with Berlin, Buenos Aires, Beijing, Shanghai, Montreal, Seoul, Nagoya, Kobe, Shenzen, Saint Étienne and Graz.

Other cities joining the Creative Cities Network in the Design category in 2014 are Helsinki (Finland), Torino (Italy), Curitiba (Brazil) and Dundee (Great Britain).
