The position of Villa de Winckels, at about 25km from Verona, makes it an ideal destination, especially during the Christmas holidays. The location ensure a peaceful stay, far away from the noise and the traffic of the city, giving to the tourist the possibility to relax and spend time in touch with nature. La Collina dei Ciliegi – Ca’ del Moro
Ca’ del Moro Wine Retreat, located just 17 km from Verona, in the heart of Valpantena , was born between the Doc Valpolicella vineyards and the new Cru vineyards of La Collina dei Ciliegi, which made its debut in 2005 with a small production of grapes destined for the first Amarone in the Erbin estate. Today, it proposes twenty-two labels divided into three collections - Pop, Black Label, Cru - , exported to over 20 countries worldwide.
With its six exclusive rooms, the "wine refuge" Ca’ del Moro is the result of the recovery of the old stables and barn in the village of Erbin, owned by the Gianolli family since the 60s. It’s a tourist accommodation born with a new welcoming concept that approaches people to important wines, revolutioning and transforming luxury into a slow experience that involves all senses.
Each one of the six rooms is named after the four great Veronese reds wines and the wines symbol of this territory (Amarone, Valpolicella, Recioto, Ripasso, Garganega and Corvina), and presents heated stone bathrooms, invisible technology, in a place of true well-being.
The restaurant "Locanda Ca 'del Moro", open all year round, proposes renovated traditional dishes, keeping the purpose of giving a sensory experience to its guests.
However, inside the winery you will be guided in the tasting of the products, starting from the classic Amarone and Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso to the freshest and most delicate Lugana and Garganega in an intimate, but at the same time convivial, atmosphere.
In the village of Grezzana, where Ca’ del Moro is located, Christmas period is animated by the Christmas Village, equipped with an ice rink, a ferris wheel, markets, a food court and many attractions dedicated to children. However, Verona, with its cultural and Christmas-themed attractions, is easily achievable.
