The wine magazine selected a photograph of the Douro River to illustrate the cover of its next issue to be released on June 30.
Wine Spectator, a publication recognised worldwide, features an article entitled "The Future of Portugal: Tradition and Modernity Partner on a Winemaking Frontier". The text is complemented by images of the Douro River and the famous Rabelo boats. These typical vessels once transported Porto wine downriver from the vineyard region called Alto Douro Vinhateiro to Porto and also to Vila Nova de Gaia.
Porto is thus featured on the cover of a magazine with an article about the clash between tradition and modernity in a winemaking country par excellence, Portugal.
