The dates for the 6th Douro Superior Wine Festival are confirmed: it will take place from 19 to 21 May (Friday to Sunday). The venue will be the same, EXPOCÔA - Exhibition Centre of Vila Nova de Foz Côa. The programme of the event is not yet closed but a live concert (on Saturday night), the conference, the Douro Superior wines contest and special wine tastings will be held again.

Construction is now underway on the d’Arenberg cube, a five storey multi-function building situated in McLaren Vale and set among Mourvèdre vines, with views overlooking the rolling hills of Willunga and the 19th century homestead that houses the existing cellar door and d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant.

It’s one of the country's main wine hotel and has been recognized by the spanish and british newspapers, El Mundo and The Telegraph, as one of the best destinations for a quiet and exclusive wine tourism experience.


Barossa Valley based Yalumba Wine Company is set to complete one of the largest commercial solar system installations in South Australia, and the largest to date by any Australian winery. 

This last Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Portofino Restaurant in Valparaiso, the Association of Viticulture Casablanca Valley, the Municipality of Valparaiso and the Municipality of Casablanca celebrated the awards ceremony of the Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2017

In what has become a tradition, the Casablanca Valley presented to the media, the wine and gastronomic sector its new vintages of Pinot Noir. The guests enjoyed the novelties of the 12 vineyards that belong to the world capital of Chilean wine.

On November 10th, Porto’s Sao Bento da Vitoria Monastery was the scene of the 2017 international ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards ceremony sponsored by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network. The ceremony took place during the gala dinner that marked the end of the Network’s annual general meeting.

(Porto, November 7, 2016) – The Great Wine Capitals Global Network announced yesterday that it has accepted Verona’s application to join the Network, joining Adelaide | South Australia, Bilbao | Rioja, Bordeaux, Cape Town | Cape Winelands, Mainz | Rheinhessen, Mendoza, Porto, San Francisco | Napa Valley and Valparaiso | Casablanca Valley.

The official ceremony was held on November 10th, at the Gala Dinner that closed the Great Wine Capitals Annual General Meeting, that Porto hosted this year, under the theme “Wine & Nature”.
