Bodegas Luis Cañas in Villabuena de Álava was the scene on September 29 of the 2017 ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards ceremony for the Bilbao|Rioja partnership in the Great Wine Capitals Global Network.

One of the highlights of the early evening event for the 150 guests was the beautiful autumn sunset against the backdrop of a sea of vineyards surrounding the winery.

Mendoza provincial governor Alfredo Cornejo and Gabriela Testa, president of Emetur (Mendoza Turismo) presided over Mendoza’s 2017 Best Of Wine Tourism  awards ceremony held at the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium on September 27. The event was widely attended by local and regional officials and representatives of the Mendoza wine trade.

The event organized by the Port and Douro Wines Institute in partnership with Port Wine Companies, celebrated this Monday, October 10th, its first anniversary.
My Port Wine Day takes place every month, always on the 10th at 6pm, and aims to promote the various matches between gastronomy and Port Wine.
In this anniversary edition the proposed experience was, tinned sardines paired with Port Wine. Strange, no? Take a look at these mouth-watering photos.
