châteaux of Montesquieu on the fringe of the Landes forest. Here
you can discover the Graves appelation, the ancestor of Bordeaux's
vineyards, and its aromatic reds and elegant, full bodied whites.

The millenary vineyards of this region are renowned worldwide.
Saint-Emilion, called the Hill of 1000 Wines, is famous both for its
fine elegant wines and its heritage listed mediaeval town.
The magnificent rolling hills and superb views of the small
region of Pomerol make it the gem of the Heritage Road, and the
Castillon-La-Bataille, named after the famous battle of 1453 that
ended the 100 Years War, reveals the deep and interesting history of
the region.
