The region of Vinho Verde is located in the
northwest of Portugal, in an area traditionally known as 'Entre-Douro-e-Minho'.
There are many things to do and see in this
beautiful land - visit the Vila Nova de Gaia,
the lodges where Port wine is blended and aged, and taste the
different varieties, or take a cruise along the Douro river.
The whole district is filled
with prosperous towns, as commerce and industry thrive there, but
you can drive along many calm roads with wonderful views over the
river or enjoy a rugged and still unspoilt coastline.
