Possessioni Serego Alighieri awarded at the Reader Awards of Food and Travel Italia 2020, winning in the category “location of the year”.
The prestigious magazine, leader in food&beverage, high-profile tourism, gourmet travel and lifestyle and published in 14 countries, recognized Serego Alighieri as “a place that gives its guests great moments of tradition, history, culture, art and food, helping to make Italy great in the world”.
The estate has in fact the longest cultural and wine tradition of Valpolicella: a history of over 650 years, started in 1353 when Pietro Alighieri, son of Dante Alighieri, purchased the Possessioni Casal dei Ronchi, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica where still live the descendants of Dante.
A new award added to the many already received by the location, such as the prestigious international award Best of Wine Tourism in 2018, which has placed the estate among the main wine tourist destinations of the Wine Capitals of the world.

This château in the Valpolicella Classica today reveals to guests the soul of the surrounding area and its historical memory: the Foresteria, built from the skillful renovation of the ancient cottages of the Villa, has eight apartments in the traditional country style where you can stay surrounded by vineyard and nature; the cellar, where cherry-wood barrels are still used, along with the most common ones in oak, as evidence of a tradition of the past and the historical Fruttaio, where the grapes dry during the winter months.The property has a fully equipped Kitchen School, bright meeting rooms, as well as spaces for refined receptions. Finally, at the Rivendita, visitors have at their disposal the entire range of Serego Alighieri and Masi wines to taste and discover how best to match them to the typical local dishes.
