The Agriturismo “Sapori in Cantina” germinated within a centenary wine house. For more than a hundred years, the Fraccarolis have believed in the great potential of the Lugana Terroir. They have proved this potential by preserving a winemaking tradition of excellence. Fraccaroli brothers are able to transform with skill touches local products in tasty dishes, perfectly combined with the wines of their vineyards.

This year has taught us many things. One in particular, is how important the hospitality industry is to the Australian way of life. During lockdown, many yearned to be able to get out and experience fine food and wine again. To have such a simple ritual taken away from us has gifted us a new perception and outlook toward supporting small, local producers doing interesting and innovative things.
The restaurant has a fantastic location and a unique setting in Taylor's Port Wine cellars, with a magnificent view over the Douro River and the historic center of Porto. It offers a contemporary interpretation of traditional cuisine with an emphasis on the use of fresh local ingredients and authentic flavors, through the creativity of Chef Ricardo Cardoso and his experienced team.
The pop-up at Casa dos Ecos (Echo House) showcases the best of seasonal Douro produce, bringing together two celebrated names from Portuguese gastronomy and wine – renowned fine wine and Port producers, the Symington family, and Michelin-starred chef, Pedro Lemos.
Pedro Lemos is using locally-sourced produce for a constantly changing menu over the course of four months – from summer to autumn, including the busy harvest period. The pop-up serves regional Douro dishes using traditional techniques, including wood-fired cooking.

In 2005, the Bonnie family, owner of the renowned ChâteauMalartic-Lagravière (Grand Cru Classé de Graves) and Château Gazin Rocquencourt (Pessac-Léognan) decided to leave France in order to discover new winemaking prospects.
