On the occasion of Vinexpo 2013, the Great Wine Capitals Global Network and the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a conference with the objective to give an overview of the various wine tourism activities and performances in the Networks member regions. With a focus on the influence of wine tourism services on the general performance of the different wine estates, 4 guest speakers presented the key figures and facts of the ‘Best Wine Tourism Practices in the Great Wine Capitals.
During a conference organized during the 2011 Vinexpo exhibition in Bordeaux, the Great Wine Capitals Global Network unveiled the results of the vast survey they led on an international level about the impact of wine tourism in the wineries.
Over 450 enquiries have been gathered and analysed from 8 wine regions of the GWC and those results were presented to a large public that showed great interest in those data.
An executive report is issued that hightlights the main lessons of the survey.

On June 24th, 2009, during the Vinexpo exhibition, a wine tourism conference was organized by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Great Wine Capitals Global Network to present the new wine tourism trends, new marketing tools, their international uses and impacts on a winery's strategy.
