As a founding member of Lausanne Great Wine Capitals, Nicolas was among the key supporters of the City of Lausanne’s decision to join the Network in 2018, at a time when he was serving as Director of the Vaud Wine Office. His vision and engagement helped position Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud as active contributors to the international dialogue on wine tourism. He later served as Secretary General of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Aigle in 2019, before becoming Director of Swiss Wine Promotion. Throughout these roles, he played a key part in strengthening the visibility of Swiss wines and advancing wine tourism as a meaningful bridge between producers, destinations, visitors, and institutions. Through his leadership and commitment, Nicolas Joss has made a lasting contribution to the recognition of Lausanne and Switzerland within the international wine tourism community.
