Bordeaux Fête le Vin 2023 : Enjoy, share, savour and be amazed !

The leading wine-tourism festival – Bordeaux Fête le Vin – is back from 22 to 25 June on the quays of the Garonne, with a preview in restaurants and cultural venues across the Bordeaux metropolitan area from 15 June. Hosted every year, this popular event focuses on promoting the Bordeaux destination through its wines, including organic and responsible productions, its local and artisanal products and its heritage. On the programme: wine, music, culture and sailboats!
An unmissable event

Bordeaux Fête le Vin is back in an even more accessible and responsible edition! A preview of the festival will take place from 15 June across the Bordeaux metropolitan area. The idea? Winemakers and merchants take over cellars and restaurants to host tastings, as well as cultural venues for outdoor concerts.

From 22 June, the quays of the Garonne will be transformed into a village of appellations – a real invitation to relax, exchange and discover. A stroll leading visitors from tastings to activities, as they immerse themselves in the world of wines from Bordeaux and its region.

Some key figures :

• A village of appellations spanning over 1 km along the quays;
• 1200 winemakers and merchants;
• 80 wine appellations;
• About twenty delicious producers;
• Restaurants partners, organising events across the metropolitan area;
• Tasting concerts in the Bordeaux metropolitan area and on the quays.

At the heart of the festival, tastings and meetings with the men and women behind the wines

From 22 to 25 June, over 1,200 winemakers and merchants representing the 80 appellations of Bordeaux and Nouvelle-Aquitaine will be delighted to share their know-how and let visitors know more about the production of their wine, as well as its tasting.

An unmissable stop

The pavilion of the Bordeaux Wine School brings its motto to life: Learn to better enjoy wine, with ever more original and exciting tasting experiences:
• The legendary «Rock’n’Wine»
• Blind tastings

Music and wine: the best combination

Along the quays, the winning blend of wine and music will ring out louder than ever. In the evening (18:00 – 23:00), three stages will host 12 live concerts and four DJ sets, with an eclectic programme (soul, hip-hop, urban sounds, jazz and more) as young local talents share the stage with French and foreign groups. The eco-renovated Darwin barracks will be transformed into the scene of a magical show combining classical music and organic wine tasting. In the wider metropolitan area, the towns of Lormont and Saint-Médard-en-Jalles will also welcome some musical gems during intimate outdoor tastings.

Discover, enjoy and be amazed

A host of cultural, fun and interactive activities, designed for young and old alike, will run throughout the Bordeaux Fête le Vin programme. And because celebrating also means raising awareness: through
exhibitions, visitors will be invited to find out more about the challenges of sustainable agriculture and viticulture, and the commitment of Bordeaux wines, in the heart of the largest organic AOC vineyard in France. The festival is also an invitation to continue your discovery in the vineyard. Tourist offices and wine estates will therefore be on hand to enhance the diversity of experiences on offer in the vineyards and the cellars (wine and yoga, smelling games, etc.). To enjoy a gourmet break between tastings, passionate producers and artisans transport foodies to the four corners of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region: the Basque Country, Arcachon Bay, Dordogne and more – a host of territories giving pride of place to cuisine and local products. Yours to enjoy in the many relaxation areas scattered across the
Villages! And there could be no wine festival without our exceptional tall ships! The Belem, El Galeon, the Santa Maria Manuela, the Belle Étoile, André Yvette and Pen Duicks will also form part of the festivities this year. Synonymous with an invitation to travel and discover, some of them will be open to visit.

A committed event

Loyal to the destination’s commitment to sustainable tourism and events, the festival is organised in an eco-responsible, humane way, thanks to which Bordeaux Fête le Vin has held ISO 20121* certification since 2021. Significant commitments have been made to ensure better inclusion and reduce the environmental footprint of Bordeaux Fête le Vin. In particular, this has involved the use of compostable food containers, reusable natural materials and water fountains supplied by the municipal water network, as well as reducing waste in partnership with waste-recovery associations.

* «Event sustainability management systems» certification, which attests to the event’s sustainable management.
