The international Best Of Wine Tourism awards will take place in Mendoza

The event will be held on November 7th. Registrations for the contest of local wine tourism have already been open; it is the prelude to the world competition.

For second time, the province of Mendoza will be venue for the annual meeting of the Great Wine Capitals. The event will take place from November 2nd to 7th, 2014.

These regions are: Bordeaux (France), San Francisco|Napa Valley (United States), Florence (Italy), Mainz (Germany), Porto (Portugal), Bilbao|Rioja (Spain), Cape Town (South Africa) and Valparaiso|Casablanca Valley (Chile).

Napa Valley tourism up 62% from low during recession

NAPA — The tourism economy in Napa Valley has significantly rebounded since the low-point of 2009, with lodging revenue having increased since then by 62 percent through 2014, according to Visit Napa Valley.

At its annual marketing conference Thursday, Visit Napa Valley also detailed fiscal 2014 metrics, all of which continued to point upward as the county and its official tourism arm seek further growth and branding.
