Vinitaly in the City

Vinitaly in Verona (7-10 April)  is the occasion that ideally marks the end and the beginning of the annual calendar of events - almost forty every year - that the Veronafiere brand makes available to the wine, extra virgin olive oil and food sector, strictly inter-connected with the top quality catering acting as the trait d'union. And while Vinitaly itself focuses increasingly on business, contacts with consumers are impressively confirmed in the city, through a programme that expands its artistic and cultural profile every year within the context of Vinitaly and the City (Friday 5 to Monday 8 April - www.vinitalyandthecity.com).

The off-show wine event is a fixed appointment in the agenda of wine lovers. Four days of tastings with the finest Italian and international wines paired with gourmet street food specialities. Wine, culture, meetings and entertainment come together in a unique experience in the squares and the most evocative venues in Verona - including Piazza dei Signori, Cortile Mercato Vecchio, Piazza San Zeno, Arsenale, Palazzo Carli - one of the few cities in the world whose historic centre has been entirely declared a Unesco World Heritage site.

Vinitaly & the City also involves other delightful locations in the province of Verona (Bardolino, Valeggio sul Mincio and Soave) and is increasingly becoming a marvellous opportunity to meet young wine lovers and help them become aware and informed consumers.

The Valpolicella-Garda DOP is the northern area in Europe where the EVO is made on: the Garda lake, the biggest lake in Italy, influences mediteranee microclimate.

Walking in the garden of olive trees and recognizing the trees variety «leccino» and «grignano», than approaching the knowledge of Italian EVO label introduced the guidated EVO tasting.

An ideal way of the EVO flavors from the North to South Italian olive oils to appreciate the difference of the highness and intensify.

The tasting is always enjoying with some bread and local food.
