WINEBOX
Winebox Valparaiso is a project that was born with an earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, the hometown of its creator, Grant Phelps. Already based in the historic neighborhood of Cerro Mariposa for several years, Grant felt the need to replicate in some ways the post-earthquake reconstructions in his adopted port.
WineBox is a work of urban renewal since we bought an eriazo site that the neighbors usually occupied as a micro dump. WineBox represents the first tourist project on the hill and consists of 25 containers removed and isolated 100% with recycled newspaper. Inside the reused elements for the hotel we have recycled more than 3,000 disposable pallets and recycle more than 2,000 glass bottles.
The first stage of the project: an urban wine cellar, wine bar, tasting room and tour operator specialized in wine tourism.
