Every November 24th, Argentina celebrates Wine as National Drink. Argentina was the first country in the world to position wine in that status by law.
Wine was declared National Drink in Argentina on November 24, 2010, and that is why it is celebrated on that particular date.

Among the factors that motivated this declaration, the text of the decree highlights the five centuries of history of Argentine viticulture, its social and economic importance, the reconversion of the industry from the 90’s and the quality of this product that turns it to a “honorable Argentine Ambassador to the world.”

This day is celebrated throughout the national territory and especially in Mendoza, the largest Argentine wine province. This year, the festivities will also transcend borders, as Wines of Argentina, together with the Argentine Embassy in Canada and the Consulate General of Argentina in Toronto, organized a virtual seminar that will include a tasting of Argentine wines. Each participant will receive a bottle of each wine for the tasting session.

We invite you to join us in this celebration making a toast with your favorite Argentine wine. Don’t you have one yet? Don’t miss this opportunity to discover it!
