Hiking Rheinhessen means you can do a relaxing walk from wine village to wine village through the Rhine-Hessian cultural landscape along the Rhine. According to the Rhine-Hessian proverb: With Rheinhessenwein there let your worries be.

The approximately 75 km long hiking trail from Worms to Mainz is suitable for a culture-rich long-distance hike, as well as for varied short tours. Thanks to the excellent rail connection, the trail is individually planable for every taste. Hiking in Rheinhessen means that you can go on a relaxing hike from wine village to wine village through the Rheinhessen cultural landscape along the Rhine, always finding beautiful resting places in the countryside.

The hiking trail runs on six varied stages from Worms to Mainz. The total of 12 stations on the trail, an individual planning of the stages is possible. The RheinTerrassenWeg is particularly suitable for hikers and groups, as it runs mainly on well-paved paths. Ideal for those who like relaxed hiking and focus on wine, culture and wine.

On the way you can see a lot of stunning attractions, for example the Kaiserdome in Worms and Mainz, the Katharinenkirche in Oppenheim or the Rote Hang in Nierstein. There are also plenty of opportunities to stop in and drink wine or to try culinary delights! Because walking and eating are easy together.
