Bringing together wine tourism destinations and businesses with selected buyers, travel professionals and media from around the world, Wine & Travel Week creates a valuable environment for business development, networking and the exchange of expertise.
At the heart of the programme are two days of pre-scheduled B2B meetings, giving participating suppliers the opportunity to hold up to 40 meetings with selected hosted buyers. The programme also extends beyond the business meetings, with post-tours across Portugal’s seven tourism regions and the renowned Essência do Vinho – Porto bringing the week to a close.
A partnership built on a shared commitment to wine tourism
For Great Wine Capitals, the partnership with Wine & Travel Week reflects a shared ambition: to strengthen the international wine tourism ecosystem by connecting destinations, wineries and tourism businesses with the professionals who can help bring their experiences to international markets.
Over the years, GWC members and Best Of Wine Tourism winners have had the opportunity to take part in the event, showcase their destinations and experiences, develop new contacts and engage directly with international wine tourism professionals.
The results of the latest edition illustrate the international reach of the event. In 2026, WTW welcomed 81 suppliers, 70 hosted buyers – 84% of them international and representing 19 countries – and 16 journalists from 10 countries, generating more than 3,500 meeting requests.
