Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta is not just a hotel. Above all, it is a wine estate, used to welcoming everyone who arrived there, and that now invites us to enjoy the superb beauty of the landscape and discover the various restored spaces that keep the simple roots of the most traditional Douro estates. With 29 rooms, a restaurant, wine tastings, an interpretive centre, hiking trails, nature tourism activities, Ventozelo offers a range of experiences strongly linked to rurality, namely vineyards and wine, gastronomy, landscape, history and the knowledge of the Douro region. Boosting ancestral qualities, reusing the set of existing buildings and adding contemporaneity to them, without disturbing the landscape, was then the great architectural challenge. The surrounding area is occupied by mediterranean forest with numerous species of fauna and flora, vineyards, olive trees, herbs, flowers and vegetable gardens.
