Nestled at the foothills of the Andes, in the prestigious wine micro-region of Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo, The Williams Casanegra Distillery masterfully bridges Mendoza’s winemaking heritage with the refined art of craft distillation.
The distillery produces an exceptional collection of wine-based spirits — including grappa, varietal brandies, pisco, lees eaux-de-vie, and vermouths — some developed in collaboration with the region’s most renowned wineries. It also created the world’s first Andes Single Malt, made entirely with resources sourced from the Andes and aged in barrels that once held Mendoza’s finest wines.
Designed with a deep commitment to sustainability and cultural preservation, the architecture of The Williams Casanegra revives the essence of Argentina’s industrial and immigrant heritage. Every structural element — wood, copper, stone, burnt brick, and recycled metal — was recovered from emblematic 20th-century Argentine industries such as wineries, olive mills, railways, and postal buildings, bringing new life to materials of extraordinary beauty and craftsmanship.
Inspired by the concept of a productive village, each space within the property has its own character and function, blending rusticity and sophistication in perfect harmony. The result is a living architectural work that embodies the passion of its creators — the Williams brothers — whose vision and dedication shaped every detail of the project.
Visitors are invited to discover this immersive experience through guided tastings and pairings, where time, history, and art converge to celebrate Mendoza’s enduring identity.
