After a decade in pharma industry, leading a diabetes business unit and raising three kids Melanie flipped the script in 2015, diving 100% into her passion for wine. After three transformative years of studies in Viticulture and Enology in Changins, the renowned swiss wine university, she earned the title of Master in Life Sciences, major Viticulture and Enology, a door opener to turn her passion into a profession: teaching enology students, organizing summeruniversities and restructuring international relations in Changins. Melanie also lives her passion in her organic Completer vineyard, showcasing the excellence of an ancient autochthonic vine variety, replanted in iconic Valais terroir, all the proceeds of her “Sunday winemaking” efforts support athletes with special needs. Melanie is the academic link in the Lausanne GWC team, representing swiss education and research in vine, wine and consumer behaviour.
