The event brought together winery owners, tourism entrepreneurs, industry leaders, government authorities, and members of the Great Wine Capitals community to recognize the region’s most outstanding wine tourism experiences.
At the opening of the gala, Alfredo Cornejo, Governor of Mendoza, and Gabriela Testa, President of the Mendoza Tourism Board (EMETUR), addressed guests and industry representatives, highlighting the sustained growth of wine tourism and the importance of innovation, investment, and collaboration in strengthening Mendoza’s position as one of the world’s leading wine tourism destinations.

The annual awards celebrate excellence across a broad spectrum of wine tourism offerings, highlighting projects that enrich the visitor experience through innovation, sustainability, hospitality, gastronomy, architecture, culture, and premium services. Every year, winners are recognized in eight categories: Accommodation, Architecture & Landscape, Art & Culture, Innovative Experiences, Sustainable Practices, Restaurants, Wine Tourism Services, and Small Wineries.
During the ceremony, Mendoza’s leadership as one of the world’s premier wine tourism destinations was on full display. As a member of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network since 2005, Mendoza continues to raise the standard of wine tourism through experiences that combine exceptional wines with world-class hospitality, breathtaking landscapes, and a strong commitment to innovation.
The Gold Award winners will go on to represent Mendoza at the international Best of Wine Tourism competition, which will be held in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, during the GWC Annual Conference. This amazing event will take place from October 18th to 22nd.
The gala also served as a celebration of the continued growth of Mendoza’s wine tourism sector, an industry that has become a key driver of economic development and international visibility for the province. From boutique wineries and luxury accommodations to innovative visitor experiences and sustainable tourism initiatives, the award-winning projects reflect the diversity and excellence that make Mendoza a benchmark destination for wine travelers worldwide.
As the evening concluded, the message was clear: Mendoza’s wine tourism industry continues to evolve, inspire, and set new standards for excellence. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners whose dedication and vision help strengthen Mendoza’s position among the world’s Great Wine Capitals.
