Departure is at 7:30 p.m. from the Francey-Vins cellar in Chexbres, and the return is scheduled for around midnight at the same location—duration of the outing: approximately 4h30.
Our vineyards and capites are lit up with a thousand lights to create a magical night-time atmosphere. In this magical and beautiful setting, you can sample our excellent St-Saphorin Lavaux wines and delicious local produce.
On the programme: an evening walk of around 45 minutes in total (2 km outward and return) through our terraced vineyards with two gourmet stops in our capites and tasting of 5 wines accompanied by sausage, Gruyère, bread and various delicious victuals for a hearty meal.
The outing is cancelled only in the event of heavy rain. Up to 2ml of rain, the outing is maintained, with the option of sheltering in the capite. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, participants will either be reimbursed or a later date will be agreed.
All outings are conducted in French. Explanations are available in German, English and Spanish.
A kit is offered to each participant, including :
- 3 x 1 half-bottle of St-Saphorin wine
- 1 unbreakable wine glass
- 1 planchette
- 1 knife
- 1 Haut-Jorat Gruyère cheese (100 g)
- 1 ‘Don-Recroze’ Vaud sausage (approx. 100 g)
- 1 canvas bag
- mineral water
All this accompanied by bread and flutes from the Chexbres baker, various snacks, and several non-alcoholic drinks.
Good walking shoes with treaded soles are essential, as is good physical condition and appropriate clothing for the evening. We accept no liability for accidents.
