Established in the Alijó Plateau and Tua Valley, in the heart of the Douro Region, Quanta Terra Douro was awarded the Best Of Wine Tourism Award 2026 in the Art & Culture category, recognising its unique approach to blending wine with artistic and cultural expression.

Founded in 1999 by winemakers Celso Pereira and Jorge Alves, Quanta Terra has built a strong reputation for its wines, but it is its creative vision that truly sets it apart. In 2022, the estate transformed the former Distillery No. 7 into Espaço Quanta Terra, a dynamic cultural hub where wine tastings are experienced alongside contemporary art exhibitions, concerts and talks.
Hosting works by renowned artists such as Joana Vasconcelos and Vhils, the space functions as a living gallery, inviting visitors to explore the intersection of wine, art and ideas. Experiences are designed to be intimate and immersive, creating a meaningful connection between the wines, the place and its cultural programme.

By bringing together heritage, creativity and innovation, Quanta Terra Douro offers a distinctive wine tourism experience where every visit becomes a celebration of both wine and culture.
