Aitor Esnal Restaurante in Logroño, La Rioja, has got its Best Of Wine Tourism award ex aequo with El Puntido Restaurant.
Aitor Esnal Restaurante’s wine list has about 150 references that include both the great wines of Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin and the new young promises of Rioja. The selection has been made by the sommelier Beatriz Martínez in total harmony with the cuisine of Chef Aitor Esnal.
The glass cellar and the kitchen open to the living room create a space where wine and gastronomy are inseparable. We could even speak of a wine restaurant, because in the tasting menu the wines are presented first and then the dishes to pair them, giving an exceptional prominence to the wine.
A determined type of glass is chosen for each wine, presenting up to seven or eight types of glasses in each pairing session. The calm with which Aitor Esnal himself approaches the table is part of the restaurant atmosphere; intense and passionate on the inside, calm and serene on the outside.
In addition, the restaurant is complemented with other activities (theme dinners, talks, forums…), a cooking school and a gourmet shop. Haute cuisine and the highest level of wines in a calm, relaxed and close atmosphere.
