Beach Road Wines Cellar Door and Restaurant has been operating for nine years under owners Briony and Tony Hoare. The alfresco restaurant in among the vines has spectacular panoramic views over McLaren Vale, providing locally sourced food and beverages, as well as award winning wines from Beach Road.
The restaurant is open 5 days per week, regularly catering for up to 600 guests per week, and also playing host to around 40 weddings per year. Beach Road also puts on soundviews music nights which showcase local artists and host private evening functions for group special occasions.
Sustainability is at the heart of the entire operation, with low voltage lighting and energy efficient heating and cooling offset by 40kw of solar power. The warehouse is fully insulated and does not require energy inputs to maintain a steady temperature. Diverse plantings around the vineyard site encourage local wildlife and well as beneficial insects. Beach Road take sustainability a step further with investment in their people with training and development ensuring the safety of all guests who visit the property. Soil conservation management practices are demonstrated in their organically farmed vineyard.
