L’Oste Scuro

Verona | Italy

Thanks to continuous dialogue with customers, suppliers, and peers, L’Oste Scuro has become the first restaurant in Verona dedicated exclusively to wild fish from the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas. The cuisine also highlights Italian agricultural excellences such as the broccoletto of Custoza, the purple asparagus of Albenga, and the capers of Pantelleria.

L’Oste Scuro was the first in Italy to organize its wine list by Soave wines according to their municipalities of origin, following the example of Burgundy with Chardonnay. This approach, which highlights the exact location of the vineyards from which each wine derives, promotes greater awareness of the Veronese territory. The cellar holds over 1,000 labels from around the world, including numerous vertical tastings of Soave, Lugana, and Custoza, demonstrating a deep wine culture. In 2023, chef Simone Lugoboni was named Ambassador of Durello by the Monti Lessini Durello Consortium for his long-standing commitment to promoting the Durella grape since the early 2000s.
