Caves Santa Marta is a Cooperative founded in 1959 in Santa Marta de Penaguião along EN2, in line with the tourism development plan of this Route approved by Turismo de Portugal. You can visit the old distillery of Casa do Douro, turned into a museum, with permanent exhibition of wine themes, featuring utensils linked to production, farming, old documents and a tasting room. Next to it are a space with vats where the Port Wines are aging.
The regular holding of art exhibitions, with themes related to the Douro Region, enabled that on the labels of some wines produced in Caves Santa Marta, were reproduced works of art exhibited there, thus making the art known through wine. Some works are permanently exhibited and ceded by their authors to Caves Santa Marta.
