DIONISIAS WINE FAIR
On Saturday, April 29th, Mendoza had its first fair of wines produced by women. It was called ‘Dionisias Wine Fair’ and it took place in Lamadrid Estate Winery, in Luján de Cuyo. The fair showcased the wines of 25 female wine makers or wineries owned by women. It was the opportunity to taste more than 90 great labels.

2023 OIV Ampelography course in Chile: Applications are open
For the first time in South America, the new edition of the course will occur from December 4th to 8th after a 33-year gap. During this edition, students will travel to Chile and learn about its wine regions, including Metropolitan, Maule, and Valparaíso.

Wine & Travel Week Premiere Draws Support from the GWCGN and Tourism Industry Leaders
The 19th edition of Essência do Vinho took place from 20 to 26 February 2023 at Palácio da Bolsa, a national monument in the historic city center of Porto, Portugal. The event marked the premiere of its “Wine & Travel Week”, the first global wine tourism fair supported by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network and involved twenty-eight exhibiting countries.
A Strong Showing for Swiss Wines in Germany
From 19 to 21 March 2023, Swiss Wine Promotion (SWP) presented a wide selection of Swiss wines at the ProWein international wine and spirits trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. Swiss wines were one of the highlights over the three days, thanks to the presence of fifteen vineyards, a new free tasting area with more than thirty vintages and seven masterclasses. At the same time, ProWein Goes City hosted the Swiss wines on the occasion of a theme evening on wine tourism in collaboration with Switzerland Tourism. In addition, in partnership with Mövenpick, a tasting of Swiss wines at the general public was organised in a boutique in the city centre.
The people of Zurich drank Vaud wines!
On Monday, March 6, 2023, a delegation of 20 winegrowers from the canton of Vaud went to Zürich to show the Zurich people the diversity and richness of Vaud wines. Premiers Grands Crus, Label or Terravin, Chasselas, Rosé, Gamay, red blends, among others, and even bubbles and vermouth from Vaud delighted the palates of the tasters.
