Acting as Head of Wine Partnerships & International Patronage, she developed partnerships with 50 national or regional wine associations, or governmental bodies around the world. She supports the development of international sponsorship: fundraising dinners, recruitment of international patrons, as well as the outreach of the Cité du Vin via international partners and any other revenue-generating projects of the Foundation. After 20-year experience in international business, Florence Maffrand joined the team of the Fondation pour la culture et les civilisations du vin beginning of 2015. The Foundation operates the Cité du Vin, located in Bordeaux-France which opened on June 1st 2016. La Cité du Vin is a unique museum dedicated to the universal, living heritage of wine, welcoming more than 400,000 visitors each year from all over the world (2.7 million since opening).
