My name is Manuela Matz, I am the head of the economic department of the state capital Mainz. I was born in 1964 and have university degrees in law and economics. As a municipal department head, I am responsible for business, real estate, urban development, order, procurement, congresses, tourism, agriculture and viticulture. The main focus of my department's work is the further development of the location as an attractive economic, science and technology center. This spectrum includes areas of urban development with regard to commercial companies, classic economic development tasks, as well as the support of innovative economic sectors such as biotechnology or media. Digitalization is also very important. The economic factors of tourism and congresses are also part of our tasks.
