A degree in nutrition led Rachel into a career working within the food and beverage industry in New Zealand for the past 25 years. From New Zealand's largest dairy exporter to iconic Hawke's Bay food producer Wattie's (Kraft Heinz) , Rachel has worked with some of the country's top food businesses in marketing and business development roles. Rachel and her husband chose to move to Hawke's Bay in 2011 because of its fantastic sunny climate and the beautiful countryside and wine scene. Rachel worked for the Hawke's Bay regions' economic development agency for 2 years before joining Hawke's Bay Tourism leading food and wine projects and ensuring that Hawke's Bay received the accolade of Great Wine Capital in 2023.
