I was born in the USA but have lived and worked in Spain since 1971. I hold both US and Spanish citizenship. I have worked in the Spanish wine business since 1975 and in Rioja since 1983 in several executive roles. My most recent roles were: 1) the managing director of the Rioja Exporters' Association where I managed the international marketing and promotional plans for the Rioja DOC, 2) a strategic and tactical marketing consultant for the Spanish wine industry and 3) a speaker at Spanish and international wine marketing conferences. I have been a member of the Bilbao-Rioja partnership since we joined the GWC in 2001.
