In ten years, Carolin Gillot and Hans-Oliver Spanier, two winemaking visionaries have created a Rheinhessen masterwork at Weingut Kühling-Gillot. The winery was the 2016 regional winner in the 'Architecture, Parks & Gardens' category of the 'Best Of Wine Tourism' competition.

Andreas Mohr of Weingut Mohrenhof believes that wine tourism is all about serving wine tourists' needs.  His successful wine safaris through the vineyards of the Rheinhessen prove that he's right!

It it all started in 1984 with the 140th birthday of the Jean Buscher winery in Bechtheim. In that year, the basilika of Bechtheim was renovated, and church painter Hermann Gottried fell in love with the Buscher wines. His drafts and pictures for church windows were the first works of art that made their way into the Buscher wine cellar. "We didn't have a clue what we were doing", reminisces Senior Jean Michael, "but the visitors were enthralled."...

This small yet fine exhibition shows just how beautiful Rhine-Hesse’s soils can be. Large wall panels document the colourful variety of sands and soils from various regions of Rhine-Hesse.

The varied material was compiled by Verena Reinmann and was artistically captured on canvases or wood using a special technique. The original material is thereby preserved as it is in nature.

The fact that Rhine-Hesse can be exhibited internationally is demonstrated by a comparison with an artwork on which original soils from 123 countries can be seen.
