BABURIZZA MUSEUM

The Baburizza Museum during 2015 and 2016, has been location of different events that empower domestic wine industry. These activities have brought together more than 7,000 people during the period mentioned, and thanks to this, and the experience lived, where people enjoy the exquisiteness of wine and pictorial heritage museum, we have awarded first place in category "Art and Culture" of the #BestofWineTourism 2017. We thank the organization for this recognition, which gives us the desire to continue working to unite two captive tourist attractions in the city: wine and art.

Parque Cultural Valparaíso

The commissioning of a cultural park to the hills of Valparaiso, understood as a new meeting and integration raises a fundamental contradiction facing the first vocation of the ex-prison: the hermetic and inviolable seclusion of his space. The main architectural problem is this singularity, and can be translated into a basic question: how to make an inclusive space closure.

MATETIC WINERY

Viña Matetic:

At Matetic Vineyards, we make wines with their own authentic character and a true sense of place while remaining sustainable and inline  with environmentally concious practices.

In the heart of Casablanca Valley, just 50 minutes from Santiago city, is “Estancia El Cuadro”, founded in 2009, with 750 hectares, an enormous house of 2.400 square meters, and one of the main wine tourism centers. This vineyard offers classical music concerts, guided visits that tell the history of the wine museum, represented by wooden figures carved by hand, performances of dancing and folklore, a garden of grapes with 26 vine varieties, part of the educational tour, and an exhibition of barrels painted by students from schools of Casablanca town.

Casa Mirador at Viña Casas del Bosque, a stunning design by architect Matías Zegers, offers a perfect view of the Casablanca Valley.

‘Experiences’ are the key to wine tourism success stories

On November 12, Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum was the scene of the 2016 international  ‘Best Of Wine Tourism’ awards ceremony sponsored by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network.  The ceremony took place during the gala dinner that marked the end of the Network’s annual general meeting.

Just an hour and a half from Chile’s busy capital, Santiago, lies the rolling hillsides of fog-laden Casablanca and the disorderly yet charming city of Valparaiso. Both feel a world away from Santiago, proving that although Chile may be skinny, it is fat in diversity...

For all #winelovers who visit Chile and even more so if they live here, winery tours are a must.  More and more wineries offer wine tourism packages every day which allows one to find the ideal visit for each person’s particular interest. If what you’re looking for is to taste different wines with great character and quality, this is the place for you.
