FOOD ZÜRICH 2023: the diversity of Vaud wines in Zurich

The wines of the canton of Vaud are invited to Zurich, where a selection of the best wines from the canton will be available for tasting at the FOOD ZÜRICH event. Partner of the event, the Vaud Wines promotion office will be present with exclusive wines.

From the opening evening on September 7, over a thousand guests will have the privilege of enjoying exclusive tastings of some of the Vaud wines featured at this 8th edition of the event.


One event, six wine regions.

Over the eleven days of the festival, the diversity of Vaud’s wine regions and grape varieties will be showcased. Among the wines on offer will be two award-winning wines from the Sélection des Vins Vaudois 2023: the Péteux Cuvée des Pèdzes, which won the organic trophy for the second year running, and the Sauvignon Blanc “Les Solistes” from Celliers du Chablais, which scored a prestigious 90.8/100 in the competition and was awarded the Master’s prize. From the famous Chasselas to Escargot Rouge, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as blends and sparkling wines: the diversity of Vaud’s grape varieties is sure to appeal to a wide range of tastes.


Discovering Vaud wines

Throughout the festival, visitors will be able to sample the treasures of Vaud wines at the event’s main bar. In addition, tastings will be available in the event hut on September 8 and 9. Under the motto of the culinary future, exciting prospects for the future will be presented to the public, with themes such as innovation, waste reduction and local production. In support of this approach, the noble wines of Vaud will be front and center at these various events in the lively metropolis.


Vaud wines and vegetarian dishes?

The Vaud Wines promotion office is paying tribute to this year’s motto with two exclusive events: guests will be able to test the perfect match between Vaud wines and vegetarian dishes, at two Masterclass sessions on the theme of “Lunch Tasting”. Sommelier Shirley Amberg will take guests into the world of vegetarian pleasures and introduce them to subtle pairings between Vaud wines and vegetarian delights. During these two Masterclasses, 6 carefully selected Vaud wines will be served with delicious seasonal vegetarian dishes, creating a perfect gustatory harmony.
